I began to drift towards teaching in about the first grade. No kidding. I loved my teacher, I loved reading, I loved learning and I loved school. That never changed. So I never left. I taught high school at Silverton, Oakland, Burns and McKay for a total of 31 years

I Love Being A Teacher Because:
I love seeing the light come on. There is no better feeling.

I Was Born In:
Grants Pass, Oregon

I Went To College At:
Eastern Oregon University and Lewis and Clark College

My Favorite Color Is:
Green

My Favorite Vacation Spot Is:
Sunriver, Hells Canyon, Wallowa Mountains, Eagle Cap Wilderness, and Disneyland

My Favorite Food Is:
enchiladas, crab, shrimp, and prime rib

My Family Is:
wife, Karri and children, Brock, age 17 and Yancee, age 11.

The Pets I Have Are:
a dog named Harry and cats named Chipper and Cupcake

My Favorite Unit To Teach Is:
any unit that can be taught through U.S. History.

My Educational Philosophy Is:
to find the strengths of each student and use those strengths to allow them to push themselves beyond what they believed they were capable of achieving.
