Subject: Senior Teacher (Fifth Grade)

Email:  daniels@abiquaschool.org

Many teachers inspired me throughout my life. I'll never forget my 3rd grade teacher, my high school physics teacher, my college writing professor, and of course, my parents (who were both teachers themselves). They all modeled an enthusiasm for their subjects, and in the process, they made learning fun and non-threatening. My own decision to become a teacher was fueled by their example and by my love for children. I began my own journey as a high school English teacher, but after having three children of my own, I learned that my heart was with the younger grades. I took a long break from teaching while raising my sons, but I couldn't stay away for long. I returned to the classroom, first as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher and then as a 5th grade teacher.
